Danine Cakes also runs private 1:1 cake masterclasses and creates floral cakes in collaboration with Korean-style florist Barley Flower Studio.

After almost ten years working in the NGO and ecommerce sectors, Shinhye turned a baking hobby into a full-time craft. What began as cakes for friends and family in 2021 quickly found an audience, and she opened the Danine Cakes studio in Streatham in 2025. She bakes every cake by hand, bringing the restraint and refinement of East Asian patisserie - cotton-light sponge, glossy buttercream and considered, minimalist finishes - to South London celebrations.
